Aster and his team spent months researching Scandinavian and Germanic folklore and scattered Easter eggs throughout the film, which also hint at the culmination of Dani and Christian’s relationship, major plot points, and other characters’ deaths. Other ships, other threats The film opens with the evocative image of a traditional flying saucer catapulting through space toward Earth. "Jesu! Edit, Howie receives an anonymous letter, supposedly from a resident of Summerisle, saying that Rowan has been missing for many months and asking him to come and investigate. The end of the story is a tragic surprise. It’s pure Nicolas Cage, a wonderful trip inside his beautiful mind. Edit, The beetle itself was definitely real, but it's more than likely that the filmmakers freed the beetle after filming so that it wouldn't stay trapped.
Simon: So we’re just going to ignore the bear then? Although many television screenings edit nude scenes for broadcast, these are not commercially available.
